Today was a good day for vintage finds for the Zeitgeist collection. My treasures of today included the iconic Bowie photographed by Lord Snowdon in 1978, a snakeskin bangle, Safari beads, cool Japanese shades, a brass swan and a detail from the Tempest painted oil on wood panel by Peder Balke in 1862...an exhibition of his paintings are showing at The National Gallery, London. More lovely things coming soon .......Sunday, 22 February 2015

Urban Living
Urban foxes had destroyed my garden making a cosy home for themselves behind my decking. They have gone now thanks to the local gardener Tom putting back together my little urban garden. It is now officially up for sale ... But not my cherished vintage French cafe table and chairs, they are coming with me but the foxes can stay.

House For Sale
Preparing to move house. It is however a long and laborious process. First I have to find a buyer for our kooky little home...

Vintage Park
Last week I visited the York Sculpture Park in Wakefield. It is the UK's first open-air gallery established way back in 1977 and includes work from many modern and contemporary artists including my personal favourites Henry Moore and Barbara Hepworth....and many others too - Sol Lewitt, Tracey Emin, Julian Opie, Martin Creed and Andy Goldsworthy....

I loved this place, it is really special and worth a visit. Exhibitions showing at the moment are Al Weiwei, Fiona Banner and Brooklyn based Ursula Von Rydingsvard - this is an example of her original and beautiful work.
....pack some walking boots as the YSP is housed on a 500 acre site and it has won the Art Fund Museum Of The Year 2014. Head for Yorkshire!
